Mu’allaqats
2012
Conception and production of an audiovisual installation for the permanent collections of Arab world institute of Paris.
It presents pre-Islamic poems called Mu’allaqats ("The suspended").
In the center of a cylinder of 8 meters in diameter are played poems in the original language, in collaboration with BURO-GDS.
On outside, some documentary images are projected in contrast with inside the cylinder, more calm, showing the poems translated into French and illustrated by abstract graphic elements.
