‘In 2011, Sybille Friedel, designer, calligrapher and sculptor, began a series of drawings in graphite on white paper. The result of a year-long interior journey is a body of work
six hundred drawings, whose multiplicity never detracts from the artist's vocation to explore the human figure alone. In 2022, the present work gives new life, in negative, on dark paper dyed in the mass, to these fetishes which, after a ten-year slumber, re-emerge from the obscurity of paper.
