Identity, signage, and interactive design for the “Wall of Names” in Shirmeck, a memorial monument built to honor the Alsatian and Mosellan dead and missing of the Second World War.
The installation will allow visitors to explore the identities and life stories of the victims—whether they were forcibly conscripted, civilians, French soldiers, Jews, members of the Resistance, or at the intersection of several of these identities.
This collection of historical sources helps convey the complexity and specificity of the history of Alsace and Moselle in the 20th century, through the groups and individuals who shaped it.
